Something to think about..........

                                                             A Warning to all Believers.

I consider this article to be a warning because if it is true, there are certainly ramifications for the believer to consider.

Is time passing more quickly today than it has in the past?

I have a feeling that it is moving faster and I believe it is in fulfillment of a certain prophecy. You may be wondering how could time be moving faster when 60 seconds still equal a minute, and 60 minutes equal an hour? I don't know how to explain it scientifically or mathematically; that's why I've posed the question. All I can say is, it's something that I sense in my spirit.
I think the answer must lie in the dual nature of time itself, as I'll explain later.
You've probably heard the old saying that "necessity is the mother of invention?" That concept could be the reason why most of the inventions and innovations of the past 120 years have been in the name of "saving time."
Why is it that prior to the Industrial Revolution (around1880) people were content to live the same as our ancestors have for thousands of years? They spun thread, made their own fabric and clothing. They built their own homes and furniture by hand and traveled by horse at 10 mph. Then all of a sudden (relatively speaking) mankind felt an overwhelming need to save time. I have built many a Tall Case and Grandfather clock over the years. The mechanism in a standard movement utilizes the same technology (pinions and gears) that a commercial loom might use. Yet, the clock mechanism was around for 600 or more years before anyone thought to incorporate the principles of its mechanism into an automated loom. Why?

I bring this up because of what the scriptures say regarding the last days, that

"except (unless) those days (the tribulation) should be shortened (cut short), there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." Matt 24:22 (KJV)

"Shortening the days" could not be a reference to the total NUMBER of days, because we know from prophecy that the total number of days is fixed. It is (approximately) seven years or 2520 days. Since this number has been already set, this prophecy (most likely) does not mean that Yahuah had previously decided on, let's say (hypothetically) 3000 days, and then later decided to shorten it to 2520. II don't think the term "cut short" is a quantitative reference, having something to do with the amount (or number) of days, But rather it is a qualitative reference, having to do with a distinctive attribute or characteristic of each day.
This is difficult for me to explain because I have no background at all in higher mathematics, and even if I did, what I sense (personally) is based on a feeling. It's a matter of individual perception and understanding. I've performed searches on the internet for answers to the question, "What is time" only to find out that no one knows for sure. There are plenty of theories, but no definite answers. I'll attempt to explain what I'm feeling and perhaps someone else can write in with a better explanation.

The Greek word used to express the idea of a "shortened" day is, #2856 koloboo (kol-ob-o'-o);
[from a derivative of the base of #2849] and means to dock. The English verb "to dock" means to deduct a portion, as in "docking some ones pay." It can also mean (figuratively) to abridge, to condense, and to edit. Each one of those three verbs means to abbreviate or lessen in value or quantity.
The base of the Greek word "koloboo" is #2849 kolazo (kol-ad'-zo); and means (properly) to dwarf or to curtail. Which also conveys the idea "shortened."
If the idea being expressed behind "shortening the days" is a qualitative reference, it could be that the cumulative "value" of each day has been reduced in totality, meaning each day (taken as a whole) somehow how less "space to perform work" than a day had 120 years ago. Simply put, it passes more quickly.

Suppose for a moment that time as we know it today did not have the same characteristics it had at the beginning of creation, before the fall. Time is linked to motion, but it is also a force. We perceive the passage of time, but not necessarily the extent of its force. If I were to sit in the chair I'm in right now for the next 100 years, I'd turn into a pile of bones. Why? I didn't feel a thing! But there was a force exerted upon me that I could not even perceive. A negative force that caused decay and eventually death. I believe this to be the physical effects of the counterfeit reality that came into play because of the fall. It is not only a spiritual force but also a physical force that is in opposition to the will of Yahuah.
I could compare this force to a current of water. If I were standing in a stream that flowed at 1 mile per hour, the current would be almost undetectable (if noticeable at all) yet the water has in fact pushed on my body with force. Which brings me to the next question, if time consists of two components acting together, would it be possible for one to be fixed as a constant (such as the passage of time) and the other be made to fluctuate?
For example, say I'm sitting in a canoe floating down stream with a current that is moving at 1 mph. My wrist watch is ticking 60 times a minute, while I am traveling at the rate of one mile per hour. What if the current began to flow at 2 miles an hour? Now,  I'm moving downstream at twice the rate but my watch is still ticking at 60 minutes per hour. Would it be possible for a day to be 24 hours, but somehow pass at a quicker rate that resulted in less work available (to be performed) within that 24 hour period?
In other words, if the river's starting point is "the past," and it's flowing toward a fixed ending point in the future; what if a force was exerted on the "present" to make it travel faster on the river, toward its destination? By increasing the speed (motion) of the canoe, would there be a corresponding action applied toward the "space of time" each 24 hour period occupies along the riverside?

What does this have to do with anything?  It has one specific bearing (in my mind) - it's a warning. Whatever plans you were making to survive the calamity about to befall mankind, complete them quicker.
Like I said in the beginning, this is something I sense.
I hope it doesn't sound like a bunch of gobbledygook because I couldn't explain it adequately, but I'm not the one who brought it up, Yahuahshua did!

I pray that He will give us a better understanding of the day and times we live in.
